Hi Pete, I am so sorry. Although I am sure it was not unexpected - and in some ways a relief - nothing in life ever prepares you for such finality. She was a wondeful person - a truly intelligent and interesting woman stuck in the hum drum world of Essex suburban life in the 50s and 60's. My memories of her are on the beach at Chalkwell, and again when she would usher us all into the kitchen at your house on the Leasway and shut the door so your father would not get upset at the noise we all made as teenagers. Then she would make real coffee - which was so exotic when you lived in a world of instant Nescafe. Speak to you soon.
